:Plot Summary

Lara Croft, descendant of a wealthy British aristocratic family, is a "tomb raider" -- a hunter of antiquities for hire and for kicks -- who is well trained in weapons and acrobatic offense and self-defense. One night she discovers hidden in her mansion a fascinating artifact, a sort of clock that is also a key. A secret society called the Illuminati needs that key to recover the two broken halves of an ancient talisman that empowers its owner to control time, but only at the precise instant that the 9 planets in the solar system come into alignment, which happens every 5,000 years and is just about to occur. Lara must try to beat Manfred Powell, the powerful agent of the Illuminati, to the artifact and destroy it without being tempted to bring back her beloved archaeologist father Richard Croft from the dead
