Lara Croft Will Search For Her Father in the ‘Tomb Raider’ Movie Reboot

When asked what we can expect from the Tomb Raider Reboot movie and how the tone would differ from the Angelina Jolie movies, Producer Graham King said:

“Well this is kind of what we call a ‘back to the roots story’. This is a young Lara Croft in search to see if her father is dead or alive, so it has a very emotional part to it and i think that’s what Alicia found so interesting about it. I think the storytelling is really good and i think we’ve got the right crew and a great director and I think it’s going to be really fun making a film like this”.

We always knew that the story would be going back to the origins of Lara Croft but it now sounds like the adventure begins with Croft hunting for her father. Time will tell exactly where we’ll be heading but no doubt it’ll be a great adventurous ride along the way.

Tomb Raider Reboot Movie is sat to hit theaters March 16th, 2018 with Alicia Vikander as Lara Croft
